i've made a few gb studio games and i enjoyed that. but i ran out of game ideas. i can get other art project ideas easily but not games. what part of my brain do i need to exercise to come up with a good & simple game idea?
i think you need to examine why (and whether) you want to make games. a huge amount of people end up in the industry who never did examine their desire to do so and basically are just unhappy. that might not be you, but thinking about what your interest actually is, and it's not just "making games", might get you on the thought-path that leads to where you don't yet realise you fancy going
