I spent 8 hours on this Jedi Survivor tech test when I was interviewing for a Technical Narrative Designer job there a while back. Got offered the job, but didn’t take it. The test called for “a system to manage the narrative”, plus timed lifts that are easy for level designers to set up, a trap that shoots a projectile from offscreen, etc etc.
The main thing is the dialogue. It’s different every time you play, and remembers which lines it randomly chose so that it can choose different lines later that reference the previous lines. Eg: If you take falling damage and the character complains about his shins, he might mention his shins later, but he won’t if he didn’t.
Note:
-Some of the dialogue has random variations
-There’s a chance for some different dialogue when you arrive at the temple if you died a lot on the way
-He’ll only complain about his shins once
-He’ll only mention feeling like he can jump the bottomless pit now if he previously remarked on the bottomless pit
-He’ll only say “this again?!” on a falling death if he’s previously died a falling death
-He won’t complain about his sore feet if you haven’t taken any falling damage
