Lately I’ve been working on Vroom and the ball-rollin’ puzzle-solvin’ game formerly known as Ballin’, and a lengthy-ass 55-page funding application for the latter, but also I’ve been ballsing around with iOS. I took a morning off of working on useful things to work on things that are not useful at all, seen below.
Basically I ported the test chamber from Half-Life 1 to UDK/iOS, with the help of James Benson, and then ran around in it on an iPad. We were able to ascertain that porting Half-Life 1 to iOS would be doable, but also really really irritating. Probably easier if you’re Valve. A fun experiment, anyway.
